Public Health (SDG 1 & 3)
Public Health
Public health lies at the heart of our mission to create thriving communities and a sustainable future. We understand that health is a fundamental human right, and we are committed to addressing the pressing health challenges faced by individuals and communities in Ghana.
Our Focus Areas
Tuberculosis (TB)
TB remains one of the deadliest infectious diseases worldwide. In Ghana, through the Global Fund and the National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP) of Ghana, we work to intensify case finding and treatment support activities in the hard-to-reach communities. Through community engagement and health education, we aim to reduce stigma and discrimination, and to improve early detection among the target population.
Malaria
Malaria continues to claim hundreds of thousands of lives each year, particularly among children under five. Our efforts in collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Program (NMEP) include distributing insecticide-treated bed nets, supporting antimalarial drug therapies, and partnering with local health systems to strengthen their capacity for disease surveillance and response.
HIV/AIDS
The fight against HIV/AIDS requires a holistic approach. FEW in collaboration with the National HIV/AIDS Control Program (NACP) and the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAAC), we promote awareness campaigns to reduce transmission, provide support for antiretroviral treatment programs, and work closely with affected communities to ensure access to essential healthcare and support services.
